Learn how to get those Classic Rock Guitar tones on your amp, while playing the riffs and solos of the masters. You will be walked through step by step, knob by knob and note by note, learning exactly how to get the sound (on your amp) and play in the style of the Classic Rock gurus.
Each week a new classic solo is analyzed. Clapton, Hendrix, Santana, Jeff Beck, Van Halen, David Gilmour and more…
Transcriptions will be provided, and videos of the guitarist will be analyzed in class, from left hand position, right hand position, vibrato, etc….
Learning at least one signature lick from the artist and an understanding how to create his tone will be the focus each week.
Every student will have a chance to bring in their amp and learn how to best adjust the settings, emulating their favorite players as close as possible. Granted, it takes two to tango, both technique and tone are explored in this dynamic class.

Paul Hanson takes the time to go over his transcriptions of a different artist each week and allows students to showcase their gear.
